Dicembre 2013. Avevo con me la reflex ma alla fine ho trovato più congeniale lo smartphone e Instagram per raccontare dieci giorni immersi nella luce cristallina di San Francisco.
Forse perché era la seconda volta e mi sembrava di conoscerla già un pochino, e forse perché il formato quadrato mi è più congeniale. E perché è tremendamente comodo tirare fuori in un attimo il telefono e scattare all’istante. I risultati possono essere al di sopra delle aspettative.

Descrivere cos’è per me San Francisco è difficile: era il mio sogno da adolescente e ora ho scoperto che è molto più bella di come immaginavo. Solo la realtà riserva certe sorprese. Non vedo l’ora di portarci mio figlio.
